AKDY WC0021 (AK-SC-21ASF) is a 21 regular wine bottle capacity thermoelectric wine cooler with two separate zones for your white and red bottles for home use. It cools down efficiently and quickly, but runs quietly and without vibrations thanks to the thermoelectric fan cooling system.
And your bottles stay safe and stable on the wooden shelves. It has two LED-backlit displays, a digital touchpad and the temperature is easily adjustable with the separate up and down buttons for two zones. You have the light buttons to turn on the blue LED lights for the upper and lower zones. So you don’t have to open the door before each time you want to pick a bottle and let the cool air escape. This also creates a nice look, especially in the dark or dim light. It comes with proper heat dissipation feature, doesn’t consume much electricity and will help you with lower energy bills.
Black AKDY WC0021 has a beautiful design, looks nice and stylish with seven wooden shelves and double paned glass door frame. It is easy to set up, weighs 46.7 pounds and measures 20.27 x 13.38 x 32.28 inches, with the internal dimensions of 10.5 x 13 x 28 inches. It is designed as a standalone or free standing unit and can also be used as a countertop fridge. This is a 70-watt power fridge built for use in North America- US and Canada with a voltage of 100-120V and 60Hz. It complies with the security standards set by ETL for Canada and US. Due to the ventilation with two fans at the back and not the front, it shouldn’t be built into your counter.
Thermoelectric cooling causes no vibrations that could disturb the sediments in your bottles, letting them age gracefully. The legs at the bottom of the unit are also adjustable for being placed on the inclined surfaces. The temperature range for the lower zone can be adjusted between 50 and 66 degrees Fahrenheit, making it more suitable for your red bottles, and the upper zone has a temperature range of 44 and 66 degrees for your whites.
You’ll find five shelves at the bottom section and two shelves at the upper section. They feel solid and are easy to pull out when you need to access your wines. It accommodates 21 regular 750ml wine bottles but this will depend on the size and shape of bottles as well as how the shelves are configured. You need to have this thermoelectric cooler in a proper setting with an ambient temperature between 50-80 degrees Fahrenheit, rather than somewhere that can get colder or warmer than normal. And the internal temperature will fluctuate and if that’s the case you need to go for a compressor type fridge. You do not need to worry about the humidity problems with this great wine cooler.
AKDY WC0021 is a rather quiet unit with very little noise from the fans at the back, only during the cycling. If you have more than 21 bottles, then you need to go for a larger fridge- you’ll see the other AKDY and other models through the links on this page. The 21-bottle one is a little small but is good for smaller areas and still quite good value for money. The door is not reversible and only opens to the right. It will fit in normal bottles and weird shaped ones as well and you can remove a rack if you want to put larger bottles. Two rows are for your reds and the lower section is for your whites. You’ll get a year of warranty on the parts for any defects during manufacturing and three years general warranty.
