It comes with a thermoelectric fan cooling system, not with a compressor and the level of vibration and noise is very low- greatly reduced as compared to similar compressor wine fridges. This is a power efficient cooler with efficient heat dissipation and reduced energy consumption and friendly to the environment as the thermoelectric cooling doesn’t have ozone-depleting CFCs or HCFCs. You can set it to the temperature recommended for your white or red and it will stay stable at that temperature without fluctuations.
To keep your precious wines’ flavours and aromas you need to keep them at the right temperature, not less or more as colder temps will make the flavours disappear and warmer temps will age them quicker and this good quality wine fridge offers a cheaper option than a full on cellar. Blue LED light is great for interior illumination but when you put the bottles at the top shelf, its functionality is somewhat reduced and one of the customers commented that the LCD panel- temp gauge at the front only shows the set temperature, not the current temperature although the temperature setting is pretty stable if you set it to 50 degrees, you can expect it to be 52 degrees in reality and the ambient temperature will have an impact on how low the temp will go (if it was compressor then there would be less impact). Chrome shelves are very strong so if you wish to remove some of the shelves and stack up more pr larger wine bottles on top of each other you will have no problems. Ventilation is at the rear of the fridge and we do not recommend it to be used as a built-in unit inside a cabinet but will be fine under the counter. It is sent very well packaged via Amazon.com and is easy to set-up straight out of the box and give it some time to first cool down to the right temperature then it will all be great.
