Argus Le Slow Masticating Juicer, AL-B6000
Argus Le AL-B6000 is a 2017 release slow masticating juicer with a brand new modern design. It has a large 3 inches wide chute to let you feed whole fruits and veggies (middle size oranges and apples) comfortably. The powerful 1500 watt motor operates at a low speed of 32 rpm, with less noise and consuming less electricity.
You can choose to get it in either wine red or matte silver which seems to be a little more expensive at the time of this review. It has an overall innovative design with a unique 3-in-1 auger technology. It is easy to assemble by just placing the bowl, auger, and cover in place. And you can clean it easily once you’re done with juicing as you can take it apart in just a couple of minutes and clean. So from prep to juicing to cleaning the unit, the whole thing will not take more than ten minutes.
It has a convenient simplistic design so you have the produce crushing, squeezing, filtering and juice collecting all in one section. Argus Le comes with a smart design juice bowl with 24 ribs around the inner wall that help improve the produce squeezing. The fruit and veggie grinding is quite efficient thanks to the short distance of just 0.21cm between the squeezing auger and the inner wall. You will enjoy better juice yield of about 20% more out of each fruit and the juice is cooler and tastes nice and pure. And more of the healthy enzymes and nutrition are kept closest to their natural state inside the juice along with a great texture and the oxidation is eliminated.
The juice yield and the taste are balanced with the small mesh (about 3000 mesh holes on the filter) and the pulp is drier than normal. You will get an additional spare filter for when you need to replace the first filter. The 150 watt DC motor seems quite efficient with a low speed of 32 rpm, with less noise and better power efficiency than a standard AC motor. It has a 5.25 feet long cable which should give you a bit of flexibility as to where to put on your bench.
There is even a twistable cover inside the chute for security so your kids will not be able to put their hands in there. All parts that come in touch with juice or produce are made of solid and thick plastic, BPA-free, and all food-grade, making them good for health. You will not need to cut or chop ingredients much as the 3-inch feeder is quite large so you will save time and effort. You can use the black smart cap that stops dripping and is good for mixing different juices before getting into the juice bowl or cup. There will be no pulp left in your juice, it will be very clear in color and texture with a superb pure taste.
In the package, you will get the base motor section, an auger with filter, a spare filter, a pusher, a 0.6L juice cup, a 0.6L pulp cup, a juice bowl, a feed chute with cover, a cleaning brush, and a user guide. It weighs 7.2 pounds and measures 7.4 x 5.5 x 18 inches, has a compact size and a small footprint with a vertical design. So you can leave it out on your kitchen bench or store it easily thanks to the small size. Despite being a lower cost juicer, it comes with some powerful features and does a better job than some of the more expensive models. It seems to be very good value for money overall.
