Yellow and black DEWALT DCK240C2 is a 20 volt MAX system budget priced combo kit of a variable speed drill driver and an impact driver that work on lithium 1.3Ah battery. This is a complete kit with a brand new drill that is shown as compact by the manufacturer but it is actually 9 inches long and with the impact driver the whole thing weighs 9 pounds with total product dimensions of 15.1 x 6.4 x 9.9 inches as you’ll also find the two compact battery pack, charger, tool bag (drill driver itself weighs 3.6 pounds including the battery) and a belt hook in the box. Impact driver in the pack is the older DCF885 model, which is 5.55 inches long and weighs 2.8 pounds and includes a quarter inch hexagonal chuck that accept an inch bit tips, three LED light ring with a 20 second delay for letting you see without the shadows and single handed loading. It has an ergonomic handle that lets you be in more control and work comfortably and the half an inch one sleeve ratcheting chuck offers tight bit gripping strength. They are suitable for small spaces being both compact in size and light in weight.
Drill driver in the combo is the DCD771 model with a decent motor despite being a compact unit (both the size and weight of this pack are its strong points as it is both easy to store and use) and will give you 300 UWO- unit watts out which means you can use in a good range of tasks and high speed transmission at two speeds of 0 to 450 and 1500rpm rotating speeds per minute for drilling and fastening of a variety of applications. You can use both the drill and impact driver with all the 20V Maimum batteries, the 1.3Ah battery is not a big one and can take a little long to charge but seems to last a while but if you want even more battery life getting the 3Ah batteries may be an option for you. It is often shipped quite fast through Amazon.com, includes a standard three year warranty by Dewalt, is made in China and this is not an indication of its quality as a great percentage of products are made in China these days. The DCK240C2 that we’re looking at on this page is the lower priced version of the professional DCK280C2 and is a decent combo set for the price level- it is reasonably priced and will be good for not super heavy tasks but still good for a variety of things in the yard, field, workshops and home repairs and both the drill and impact drivers are good for tight and confined spaces.
