EdgeStar BWC70SS 62-Can Beverage Cooler
EdgeStar BWC70SS is a stainless steel compressor style beverage cooler that can accommodate 62 cans of 12 oz. standard size soda or beer, 40 x 16 oz. tall cans, 51 x Red Bull type slim cans of 12 oz. capacity, 32 x Gatorade or VitaminWater or Gatorade type 20 oz. bottles comfortably.
The temperature range is specified as the high 30s to mid-50s Fahrenheit roughly, which is a pretty wide range and the temperature thermostat control knob is located at the rear. This is a free-standing product that is not designed for a built-in installation and you do need adequate ventilation on the sides (2 – 3 inches) and at the back (3 – 4 inches). This is a compressor type unit with 85 watts of power, and 115 Volts of voltage, 60Hz, and 1.3Amps. Like with any compressor cooler, it is best you leave it to sit in a fixed position unplugged for up to 24 hours.
The sturdy dual paned glass door is reversible so you can hinge it to open it from the left or the right, depending on what you need. EdgeStar BWC70SS has a black cabinet and solid double-paned glass door with stainless steel trimming. It weighs 40 pounds and measures 20 x 17 x 18.5 inches- as a compact product it will fit virtually anywhere.
It has a manual defrost function and there is a removable chrome shelf inside that slides out easily. It is actually one of the most compact beverage cooler units with a reversible door. You can put it anywhere in a free-standing position set-up. It cools down very quickly and you’ll keep your drinks and even snacks and fruits cool and fresh at the ideal temperatures.
You may want to move the cans or bottles from the back to the front to get better results. It doesn’t make more noise than what one can expect but is not dead quiet either. It doesn’t have a built-in LED-light and a lock if you prefer a model with a lock and/or a light instead. And the temperature knob is not at the front or inside the fridge due to the space concerns and it is at the rear, so you may want to put it where you can access the back part easily.
