Firebird FB-WC0029 Dual Zone 21 Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler Review

Firebird FB-WC0029 21 Bottle Thermoelectric Wine Cooler

Firebird 21 Bottles Dual Zone Black Finish Touch Control Panel

Firebird FB-WC0029 is a 21 bottle capacity, thermoelectric, 140-watt power (100-120V/60Hz) wine cooler/cellar with two zones and different temp settings on touch control panels on the top and bottom cabins and temperature consistency for letting you store your red and white bottles separately. It is sleek and modern being designed as a free standing cooler and looks good in black, weighs 45.5 pounds and despite being lightweight it doesn’t feel cheap with the stable door and hinges. You’ll also be able to view all your bottles clearly with the two blue LED lights inside.

It measures 16 x 17.25 x 31 inches on the outside and 11 x 13 x 28.25 inches inside- is pretty spacious with 6 bottles in the upper zone and 15 bottles in the lower zone but the total capacity will depend on the size of your bottles and how the shelves are configured. You can set the temperatures between 44 and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in two zones as red and white bottles will require different settings- the temperature is kept stable at around 46 degrees in practice or whatever you set it to. It works quietly but you may hear a light humming and being vibration-free your wines will age nicely and the dual pane glass on the high-grade ABS door will stop bad ultraviolet lights from coming in and harming your wines. It has seven solid and sturdy chrome plated metal shelves that are removable and that slide out conveniently and includes fancy metal door handles but the doors are not reversible and you can only open them to the right. Firebird FB-WC0029 is a stand-alone cooler, with the venting at the back and not sides.

Firebird 21 Bottles Dual Zone Black

The legs are adjustable if you have an uneven floor but the screws are not really long enough to make a huge difference. It is designed for home use in ambient and stable conditions to function properly, not commercial and as a freestanding cooler, it will need some clearing at the back for proper airflow. You can still use it under the counter but will need space on the sides and back for ventilation. It is not very easy for the interior of the unit to have any ice build-up because the minimum temperature it can go down to is 46 degrees and if it ever does that may be only around the heat sink and you can just unplug the unit for 2-4 hours depending on ambient temperature before plugging it back in. As an ETL certified cooling product, it conforms to the security standards set by the United States and Canadian authorities. It is offered with a year of parts warranty by the manufacturer- Firebird.
