HP EliteDesk 705-G1 Mini Desktop

HP EliteDesk 705-G1 is a compact and portable desktop PC with a space saving design, functionality, reliable performance and power provided by some high specs including a quad core AMD A8 series Pro-7600B processor (4MB Cache) at 2.2 GHz speed up to 3.3GHz with HSA technology for the optimal balance of performance and power and a Passmark benchmark score of 4941 at the time of this review indicating suitability for users at all levels to handle even the very complex tasks, which is also assisted by the large 8GB DDR3L SDRAM memory on 2 DIMM slots that lets you run several browsers and apps simultaneously without freezing or delays and that can be upgraded up to 16GB, quite a large 256GB Solid State Drive that offers both the ample storage space and great speed, fast and smooth operation overall and 64-bit Windows 7 Pro operating system designed specifically for professionals that are on-the-go and to connect to networks easily and quickly and find network printers automatically. HP EliteDesk does not include a monitor or keyboard/mouse, as a mini desktop PC. Sound is provided by HD Audio with Realtek ALC 221 codec and the graphics card is the integrated AMD Radeon R7.

So this is not an advanced gaming PC as such but with overall multimedia performance a bit better than Intel Iris Pro 5200, it is mostly adequate for gaming at medium settings and with a high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It has no Optical Drive but a decent range of connectivity options / ports including 802.11a/g/n wireless, Gigabit Ethernet and RJ-45 connector, VGA output, DisplayPort (no HDMI but DisplayPort is probably a better option and you can get an HDMI converter cheaply), USB ports on the front and back panel so you can transfer multimedia and common files between certain peripherals and your computer. There is VESA 100 mounting at the bottom of the PC case that makes it mountable on a wall and with its very compact design (weighs 8.1 pounds and measures 19.6 x 11.5 x 7.7 inches) it will fit anywhere easily both horizontally and vertically, has a clean and simplistic design and will not be an eye sore wherever you put it. It is supported by security systems including HP Client Security and HP BIOSphere so the PC’s performance is not affected by security threats and runs efficiently at all times. It is quite a good deal overall with no pre-installed junkware or anti-virus program being designed as an enterprise PC and Win 7 Pro boots up pretty quickly with the SSD and everything will run smoothly and efficiently.
