Kegco VSCB-24SSRN 24″ Craft Beer Center
24” wide Kegco VSCB-24SSRN is a high-end bomber fridge/craft beer center that is designed as a special storage space for larger craft beer bottles, for both serving them soon or aging them. It includes two solid and robust metal shelves that let you put many bombers or any large 750ml size bottles, long necks and very tall cans vertically. The roller-glide shelves extend hundred percent with the convenient telescoping rollers. So you have access to each bottle, even the ones right at the back without having to change the order they’re put in. You do not need to move the bottles in the front to get the ones at the back.
The thermostat temperature range is quite wide- between 39 and 64 degrees Fahrenheit. 39 degrees is cold enough to serve your beers cold and 64 degrees is high enough to age the cellar beer nicely. This means the powerful compressor will keep your bottles at the optimal temperatures at all times. It is promoted as a built-in under the counter type fridge, but can also be used as a freestanding unit with its contemporary appearance and the convenient front ventilation. You’ll find that this fridge cools the contents evenly and consistently with its powerful and efficient compressor and the fan-forced cooling- fans circulating air evenly and cooling very quickly.
The shelves are thick, sturdy and strong enough to keep many bottles on it simultaneously, even when it comes all the way out. Just like with the high-end wine cellars, the glass on the door has protection against the harmful ultraviolet lights so your beer compounds remain untouched and can age beautifully with the flavorful complexities unlocked over time- months and years. It is easy to see the interior of the fridge without opening the door with the cool blue LED lights and it makes a great appearance in the dark or dim light.
These incandescent lights will not heat the interior and you can also turn them on or off whenever you want. Kegco VSCB-24SSRN weighs 114.6 pounds and measures 33.9 x 23.4 x 23.6 inches. (25.4” with the door handle). The stainless steel trim on both shelves matches the steel doorframe very nicely. There is a security lock at the bottom front so you can keep your precious bottles safe. It has a curved stainless steel handle but is not shipped attached to the door so you need to assemble it, but is easy to do so. One word of caution, though, is that if you didn’t set up the fridge under the counter, it can tip over when the upper shelf is full with bottles and extended all the way out. You can certainly use anti-tip fasteners to avoid that happening. This is not a cheap product- price is a little high but you’re certainly getting what you pay for.
