The 67-point planetary mixing action is equal to 67 touch points per rotation so the ingredients are mixed completely / incorporated properly with the wire whip, beater or dough hook rotating in the bowl, covering hundred percent. 6 quarts is like enough capacity for up to 8 loaves of bread, 150-160 cookies or 8lbs of mashed potatoes. You have the option to get it with a spiralizer attachment on the Amazon product page and there are actually 15+ KitchenAid attachments that you can purchase (optional) including a pasta maker, shredder, and food grinder. You will get the burnished metal flat beater, stainless steel 6-wire whisk / whip and PowerKnead spiral dough hook included so you can easily knead, whip and mix your ingredients conveniently. The lever will move the mixing bowl up conveniently so there is the optimal contact between the bowl and the attachment. You do not have to worry about having the larger or heavier ingredients inside the bowl as there is quite a solid support for the bowl with the great bowl-lift design.
It has a classic KitchenAid Stand Mixer design and looks beautiful, weighs 25.8 pounds and measures 14.4 x 11.3 x 16.4 inches- so it is quite tall and heavy due to its very solid construction (made of zinc, though, not steel yet still very solid) and will probably need a permanent spot on your counter. It is easy to clean as you can wipe clean the exterior and simply put the bowl into the dishwasher. As a KitchenAid commercial grade heavy duty stand mixer, this is a very reliable and heavy duty product that operates smoothly and will be suitable for both home and commercial (restaurant and cafe) kitchens. You’ll appreciate the planetary action design as the attachment goes around and hits each part of the bowl, without missing a thing and does a wonderful job. Please note that the negative critical reviews you may see online are for a cheaper KitchenAid model, but generally speaking you really can’t go wrong with any KitchenAid stand mixer. All the pieces and blades are metal without the Teflon coating that can have the potential peeling problem. One negative we can point out is the bowl, which is thinner than what we’re used to with other KitchenAid models we have seen, it is kind of poor quality as compared to the very high-quality high-end 5-star machine, with performance, functionality and build quality much better than competitors. Overall this happens to be a great investment that will last a very long time, probably your lifetime.
