Kitchener MS-106215R is a hot new release professional grade, deli style 9-inch slicer with a belt-driven 150-watt power motor for slicing meat, cheese and a variety of other foods. The stainless steel cutting blade is 8 5/8 inches and offers great cutting performance. You can easily adjust the thickness of the slices from deli-thin to 5/8 inches (15mm) thick, through the thickness adjustment knob.
Kitchener Slicer weighs 14.6 pounds and has a rather small and compact design with a carriage size of 7.3 x 6.5 inches (18.5 x 16.5cm). This makes it easy to be used on smaller kitchen benches and to be carried and stored when not needed. It is housed in die-cast aluminum and is made of premium quality coated steel. The carriage surface is also stainless steel and includes finger protection as a security precaution and has the end-piece holder. The stainless steel blade is detachable and easy to clean. So you can just unscrew, rinse and wipe and the stainless steel will never rust.
You can slice different cuts of meats and especially salami, hard cheeses, hard veggies, bread and other stuff very quickly, conveniently and easily. It stays put and stable during the slicing operation, thanks to the four suction cup feet underneath. To be able to sharpen the blade you need to use a blade sharpener, not a regular knife sharpener as it will not be adequate. But the included blade will not need to be sharpened for a long time as long as you take good care of it, such as cleaning and drying it after each use.
The company shall have the replacement blade out very soon if it is not already on the market. Kitchener MS-106125R is a very well made, functional and versatile deli type slicing product at a reasonable price, that offers good value for money. One of the customers complained about the lack of serrated blade that they needed for their slicing needs. And another one commented on the plastic handle not feeling durable. Judging by the product info and reviews, that doesn’t so much seem to be the case with other customers. The handle is actually made of very solid plastic that should not break easily and the unit is very well-built overall.
