Makita CX200RB 18V LXT Sub-Compact Combo Kit
Makita CX200RB is an 18V LXT sub-compact, cordless, two piece set of slim, compact, very light, solid and durable, maneuverable driver drill (XFD11ZB) and impact driver (XDT15ZB) with BL brushless motor that run on 18 volts slide style li-ion batteries (the largest line of tools that work with 18V batteries) and offer up to 350 in. lbs of torque for your drilling, driving and fastening applications. They are suitable for use by plumbers, electricians, and others, the driver-drill feels nice to hold, you can get into tight corners easily with dual LED lights to illuminate your work area and give you the sense that it will handle most jobs easily. Although it weighs just 2.8 pounds and is 6-3/8 inch long and with battery and without cords for much less operator fatigue, it has the same power as the heavier units and can even be compared to corded drills. The charge time is very short for the battery and you can use the same battery for the driver-drill and impact driver so you don’t have many things to carry around. You have the convenience of two-speed transmission of 0-500 and 0-1700 rpm rotating speed for a great variety of driving and drilling tasks. The impact driver is even lighter at 2.6 pounds and again being battery-powered and cordless, you will experience less fatigue over longer use. So for both units, you have the lightweight and compact size of the low voltage and not so powerful tools, but the performance and power of 18V.
For better fastening with this impact driver that includes the a setting (“a” stands for assist) to avoid cross threading so you can start driving at lower speeds and go faster when tightening. The recharge times are very fast (around 25 minutes) and you will be able to work longer and let the battery sit on charger much shorter, and once they are charged, they last long. You will find two lithium ion batteries (BL1820B) and the 18V lithium-ion Rapid Optimum Charger (DC18RC) included in the package. You may be familiar with the smaller 12V CXT models and these are more similar to the CXT (actually almost identical other than small features and power/performance level), rather than the larger LXT models.
