Makita PH05R1 is the new 2016 model cordless, fast and powerful 3/8 inch hammer driver-drill kit with a powerful brushless motor that offers up to 280 in.lbs. torque, that works on 12 Volts Max CXT lithium ion slide style batteries and offering a good combination of great ergonomics, high performance and compact size, like the other members of the 12V Max CXT series. It is lightweight and compact in size being only 3/8 inch long (a bit of height above the battery latch with electronics placed at the bottom) and weighs just 2.4 pounds including the BL1021B model 2.0Ah battery so there will be much less user fatigue and you can get into very small areas comfortably and with the integrated LED light that helps you see the area you’re working on clearly. The BL motor it comes with runs very smoothly and efficiently as it doesn’t have the carbon brushes, hence you will get a longer life out of it. You will get enhanced productivity, efficiency, speed and power in your driving, drilling and fastening tasks from this very compact power tool. 3/8 inch keyless chuck enables faster bit changing and the battery protection circuit feature that you will find on these li-ion batteries will help protect against over-heating, over-discharging and overloading.
Slide style batteries are clearly superior to the pod-style batteries in terms of ergonomics and balance, with a nice LED charge level indicator on the battery for extra convenience. Slide design of battery lets the Makita Driver-Drill stand on its own and when you’re ready to get on with work you can make you use of its dual speed mechanical transmission, of 0 to 450 and 0 to 1500rpm speed when you’re working on different types of applications and 0-6,750 / 0-22,500bpm to hammer drill masonry materials quickly.This brushless motor also has the advantage of longer battery life for up to 50% longer, being electronically optimized and if you want longer battery run time, you can use the BL1041B model 4.0Ah lithium ion battery that this kit is compatible with (and please note that it is not compatible with pod-style batteries). In the package you will see the PH05Z Hammer Driver-Drill, 2 x (BL1021B) Lithium Ion 2.0Ah batteries, (DC10WD) 12V Max CXT Charger and the Tool Case. It is made in China like the other Makita products and this certainly is no indication of the level of quality and all Makita tools are carefully checked and tested prior to leaving the factory, comes with limited warranty on the main tool, charger and battery for three years and you can return it within 30 days of purchase if not happy with the product for whatever reason and you will either get a refund or replacement.
