Phiestina PH-CWR100 33-Bottle Wine Cooler
Phiestina PH-CWR100 is a modern wine cooler with a 33 regular size bottle capacity in two temperature zones. It lets you store your white and red bottles at their optimal temperatures with the flavors and textures staying intact over time.
This is a compressor type wine cooler with an efficient and whisper-quiet motor that is much more silent than the competitor models. So you can keep it near your kitchen, living room or even bedroom as it will not disturb you. There are three removable shelves in the upper zone and four shelves in the lower zone.
The upper zone temperature range is specified as 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit and the lower section temperature can be set between 50 and 66 degrees. So the temperature range is pretty wide, between 40 and 66 degrees overall and this will depend a little on the ambient temperature too. But the temps are certainly much more stable and consistent than thermoelectric coolers. The red bottles normally require higher temperatures than the whites, so you may want to put them in the top section and your whites in the lower section.
You can keep your cans or bottles of soda, beer or wine conveniently on its detachable shelves. And you can see the interior of the unit with the blue LED lighting that will help you find what you’re looking for and that also gives it a cool look in the dark or dim light. Phiestina Wine Cooler looks nice in black and stainless steel, it has a freestanding/standalone design so you can keep it anywhere you want. It has a steel door with a nice handle, weighs 101 pounds and has a compact size with the dimensions of 15.55 x 22.48 x 33.07 inches with the adjustable legs.
The display panel is right in the middle section that separates the upper and lower zones and has two blue LED-backlit temperature displays for two zones, up and down arrows for both, Celcius/Fahrenheit and light button.
You obviously can put all your whites or all your reds in two zones but under normal circumstances, they require different optimal temperatures and it is nice to own a wine cooler with dual temp zones. Up to 33 bottle capacity is for Bordeaux style standard bottles and you can certainly move or remove a shelf or two to make up room for large or different shaped bottles, but the capacity will be reduced.
Phiestina Wine Cooler’s compressor system does a good job of cooling while being energy efficient, as the estimated approximate annual electricity use is 232 kWh and the operating cost is 24.7 dollars. The thing to keep in mind with all the compressor type coolers is it is best if you keep it unplugged in an upright position for up to 24 hours after you first remove it from its box, as there may be oils leaked during the transportation.
