RCA RFR 737, 7.5 Cubic Foot Fridge
RCA RFR 737 is a number one new release 7.5 cubic foot capacity full size fridge with a nice stainless steel look, a space saving flush back design, manual defrost and adjustable thermostat. It works nicely in small kitchens for a couple of people or as an additional fridge for your food and drinks in the basement or garage or in any small places in a family home.
Graphite stainless steel color R.C.A RFR 737 Fridge weighs 83 pounds and measures 22L x 22D x 55H inches for a 7.5 cubic feet interior capacity. The door is reversible to be opened from the left or the right depending on what works best in your limited space. There is a fruit and veggie crisper (not humidity controlled) at the bottom, below the three shelves. It comes with the adjustable legs to keep the fridge even on different floors. There is a freezer at the top with a separate door.
Manual thermostat adjustment is located inside the fridge on the right hand side. There is an interior light for you to see the contents clearly in the dark. It has a modern 80-watt power compressor that runs very quietly and keeps the temperature constant. You’ll hear very light noise during the cycles but it is not going to disturb you. There is a wire shelf in the freezer and 3 shelves in the main fridge. It has a fairly compact and space saving design if your kitchen is not big enough for a large fridge. But it is bigger than mini fridges and more functional with a larger 7.5 cubic feet total capacity.
The shelves inside are not the best quality but OK at this price level. The fridge is reported to work very well and keep your items cool and fresh. One of the customers commented on not having a separate control panel but we don’t think that is necessary, especially at the price point. You can keep your ice, ice cream or frozen foods in the freezer section.
The RCA RFR 737 is not an Energy Star rated fridge and the annual energy consumption is specified as 378 kw per hour. It is not shipped to California because of the Proposition 65 “Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986”. In the box you’ll get the fridge, user manual and warranty card for a 1-year warranty by RCA. It is shipped quickly via Amazon.com and you’ll get it within 3 to 5 business days. The price tag is reasonable for what you’re getting in terms of space, operation and functionality. We are happy to recommend it to those on the market for medium size fridge at a budget price.
