Eco mode will help save on energy by switching off the blue LED indicator and it will be able to perform the main functions (standby power reduction) and is better than unplugging it. You may also deactivate the glass turntable and use the whole interior space to put larger dishes in. Microwave power consumption is 1600 watts and the cooking power is 1000 watts, with a power cord that is a bit less than 40 inches long. It is made in Malaysia, not in China, according to American electrical standards and comes with 12 months parts and labor and 10 year magnetron warranty. As an economical budget unit, it looks stylish and classy and appears to offer quite a bit for the low price tag, just like most other Samsung products in any category. It is not completely stainless steel, has black textured metal finish but at least very little plastic and the textured metal is good for it to not be affected by fingerprints, is dimly lit inside so it is a little hard to see your meal when the microwave is on, but has some great features like ceramic interior, handy dial knob, user friendly control panel, LED lit display and useful buttons.
