WEN 3962 Two-Speed Band Saw with Stand and Worklight

WEN 3962 is a new release 10 inch band saw that is great to have in any workshop with a .33 horse power 3.5 amp powerful motor, two speeds of 1520 and 2620 fpm, a 9-3/4-inch throat and it can cut boards up to 9.75 inch wide and 6 inch deep with 72 inch blades ranging from 1/8 to 1/2 inches for different elaborate cuts depending on what you need. It comes with a large work table that has the dimensions of 14 x 12.5 inches and bevels up to 45 degrees to the right for when you want to do angled cuts up to 6 inches deep and a versatile worklight for you to see what you’re doing clearly. You can do straight cuts with the fence provided, angle cuts with the miter gauge and put in different kinds of dust extractor hoses (1.75, 2.75 and 4 inches) through the 3-in-1 dust port. It will last longer- will continue giving you good service for many years, with the ball bearings also ensuring the blades operate smoothly and efficiently. Stand needs some assembly out of the box but is quite easy to do so and it will help lift up the bandsaw so you don’t need to put it on your work bench and you will have more space left for other stuff. Black WEN 3962 weighs 73 pounds and measures 20 x 25 x 58 inches, has a 6 feet cord as you’ll need to plug it into a power outlet- doesn’t work on battery power.

WEN 3962 Two-Speed Band Saw with Stand and Light

It is ETL listed, comes with 2 year warranty included by the manufacturer- WEN, great customer with a very helpful customer phone line and technical support by service technicians all over the country. You can address different projects by operating the blades at two different speeds of 1520 and 2620 feet per minute. 9.75 inch throat and resaw capacity of 6 inches means it will deal with boards that are up to 6 inches thick comfortably and this is more than what other 10 inch band saws can usually tackle. Please bear in mind that this band saw should not be used for cutting ferrous metals, as specified on the user manual, doing so may damage the unit / blades. One of the customers commented that because of not setting it up correctly they had problems with the blades and they were not cutting things properly but after they learned how to set up a bandsaw correctly the unit has been working beautifully. It has very small design flaws, such as the location of the lighting (but has a flexible extension so you can move it a bit), plastic resistance knob not having markings as points of reference and you may need to be a little careful with it, but otherwise it is very good value for money in terms of power, functionality and durability but if you have a lot more money then you are better off with a high end and heavy duty band saw, this is more like a great quality beginner type machine that looks nice and works well.
