Black and stainless steel Zojirushi NS-LGC05XB is the new 3 cup capacity Micom rice cooker and warmer with advanced fuzzy logic technology and multiple cooking options for things like brown rice, sushi rice, white and mixed rice, GABA brown rice, steel cut oatmeal (cooks in a shorter time than regular porridge setting) and quick cooking- is very easy to program. It cooks evenly thanks to the three heaters on the side, bottom and the inner lid that allows high temp cooking without any overflowing, that is easily removable and washable but please note that there is no condensation collector here. It has a capacity of three uncooked cups of rice and makes rice just right- fluffy and sticky, not too firm or not too mushy and soft and that tastes great. It includes beep or melody signals that can be adjusted and will let you know when it’s done (also beeps at the start) and will go into the “Keep Warm” mode automatically and has reheating cycle, with no further cooking so you have your steamed rice cooked just right and you wont have to guess the time or temperature and it will all be done by simple push of a button. In the box you will get the measuring cup, bumpy spatula and spatula holder on the side (both non-stick and easy to clean as well) and user manual that is quite easy to understand. It would look great in stainless steel on any kitchen bench, has a retractable cord design so there will be less clutter on your bench, has a fold-down handle for easy transportation.

You can’t really make a cake in it like you can in the larger 5 cup model and you need to make sure how much rice you’ll need to make often- just for a few people in your family or will you have guests over often? Zojirushi brand rice cookers are proven to be very solid and durable, so they tend to last many many years if you take good care of them. It is not very cheap but make no mistake, those rice cookers that cost less than 50 dollars will not last you more than one or two years and you can easily use Zojirushi every day for making wonderful tasting rice. With two timers, timer will remember your last setting and you don’t have to put it in every single time or change it from porridge to brown rice or to white rice. Brown rice is activated and the temperature is kept at a fixed 104 degrees Fahrenheit for two hours so the GABA gamma-aminobutyric acidutrient) augments itself 1.5 times by the activation. So this is a high end great quality rice cooker with a 3 cup dry rice capacity for smaller families, with all the features of the very large models.
