Gourmia GSV900 Sous Vide Immersion Circulator via Amazon
Gourmia GSV900 is a recent release 10 quart capacity sous vide immersion circulator oven with metal rack for you to make beautiful, “high end restaurant taste and quality” meals of chicken, turkey, salmon and other fish, steak and vegetables in vacuum sealed bags and you will easily notice that great buttery and moist/juicy texture and solid flavour- much better taste than other common cooking methods. You will have complete control over the circulation and accurate temperature with the Active Control Thermostat- ACT as your ingredients cook gently and even when you leave the meat in it for hours, it will have that texture (never overcooked or hard and will cook evenly throughout) and the flavours will be absorbed in your food even more and it won’t matter as it runs quietly and won’t make any disturbing noise- all you will hear is a quiet humming. It weighs 8.3 pounds and measures 9.75 x 14.75 x 8.75 inches- is compact but can cook quite a bit of food at once, the backlit LCD display is easy to read, it stays cool on the outside even after hours of cooking. The included rack can accommodate as many as 12 vacuum sealed bags for cooking simultaneously.
The way you use the Gourmia Immersion Circulator is first filling the unit with water (you will see minimum and maximum lines and try not to let it go below the minimum line as it will turn itself off automatically and you can not start it without water anyway as it has sensors inside), vacuum sealing the ingredients after seasoning them and immersing the sealed bags into the water filled sous vide unit. You will have a soft and juicy end result with beautiful texture and flavours but if you like it to be a bit crispy on the outside then you can simply use a grill or frying pan for searing with a bit of oil and the interior will still remain soft. What you have here is precisely controlled water temperature that will deliver the same perfect results every single time and you can even recalibrate the system for accuracy if you ever need it. You can cook meat straight from frozen and this is not just about cooking steak or salmon by sous vide method, you can poach or soft boil eggs, make creamy soups, lemon curd, cook broccoli, Brussels sprouts or corn on the cob. If you don’t have a vacuum sealer you can also use a ziploc bag but not the other type of freezer bags as you don’t want water going into your food and you will always be better off with properly vacuum sealed bags. The User Manual provided is not the best, is a bit simple but you can always get more info and great sous vide recipes from the internet. A great value product that we highly recommend!
