Crock-Pot SCCPMC600-S is a stainless steel 6 quart capacity versatile cooker with a non-stick inner pot and five different functions of slow cooking, roasting, steaming, baking, browning / sautéing with 5 touch buttons for your different needs on different days of the week. It has a digital display panel that shows these cooking functions as well as the time and temperature settings, power and start/stop buttons and you can switch from one function to another easily if your recipe needs you to first brown then slow cook until it is nicely cooked- tender and tasty and it will be less difficult and messy to prepare and cook your meals. The rack that you use inside the cooker has two positions for steaming and roasting purposes and this rack, glass lid and the non-stick inner pot are all safe for dishwasher. It is suitable for cooking everyday or for entertaining guests or special meals with family and friends. It serves as an easier and more functional and practical option than a large conventional oven so you can manage the cooking process and different meals better- your entrees, mains and desserts. Temperature can be set from 150 degrees up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and time can be set between half hour all the way up to 12 hours and cook delicious meals by whatever method you choose and high, low or warm cooking options in slow cooking and at the end of the set cooking time it will revert to “warm” to keep your meals warm. Browning and sautéing can be used before any of the other 4 cooking methods like a primary step in food preparation- searing for locking in juices or browning meats for whatever you want to make or sauteed meals with low to high temperatures. If you want light and tasty steamed snacks you can easily place the steaming rack into the bowl and when it is done with steaming the cooker will turn itself off automatically so you get great results with much less grease and more nutrition. Roasting is just like in an oven and you can make side dishes and main meals- chicken and beef in temperatures between 150 to 450 degrees and between slow roasting and crispy exterior high roasting. You have two options for baking- either straight in the bowl or on the rack provided and you can certainly set the baking time and temperature, bake a cake or bread or nice appetizers that you’d normally do in the oven. It is very well designed, works straight out of the box and you are promised very good results with whatever you cook- veggies, rice, stews, soups, tender and juicy roasts and being able to taste each ingredient and bake things like bread, cupcakes or cheesecake and is easy to clean as the teflon is non-stick, overall it will make your life easier if you have a busy schedule and don’t like to cook.
