Farberware FMWO11AHTBKB Classic is a 1000 watt cooking power microwave oven with a 1.1 cubit feet capacity that looks great in stainless steel- silver and black and will fit any kitchen decor easily. It lets you set the power all the way from 10% to 100% with ten different levels of power and allows you to cook your snacks and meals in multiple stages without stopping the cooking cycle with power level being adjusted automatically. You’ll see the Time Cook, Time Defrost and Weight Defrost (so you may defrost by time and weight), Power, Clock, Kitchen Timer, 6 one-touch cooking options for Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage, Dinner Plate and Express Cook options from 1 to 6 minutes and you may add 30 seconds as well with the +30 Second button. With the Custom Memory Function you can save and bring up the settings for cooking whenever you want- create your own single touch cooking setting. The microwave door opens by just pulling the handle so there is no “Open” button to look for and the round shaped glass turntable rotates and is easily detachable for being cleaned in the sink.
As an easy to operate electronically controlled unit with a digital interface it has the green LED-backlit display that includes the kitchen timer and clock. There is even a Keypad Lock function that will stop your kids from pressing the buttons without supervision. It appears to be quite a capable multi-tasker with a few additional useful features that are not available on other budget microwave ovens, it functions well- does the job just fine and still is offered at a very reasonable price. It weighs 35 pounds and measures 20.2 x 16.5 x 12 inches so it is a little bigger than you might expect as a large 1.1 cu.ft. capacity microwave oven but you will easily put larger dinner plates and baking dishes on its big 12.4 inch diameter turntable and 13.9 x 14.5 x 9.1 inches clearance. You will still have space left on a regular 24 inch countertop as it is 12” tall and with 16.5” depth. One of the customers commented on the higher than normal noise level but others say that it is just the normal microwave running noise and the cooking or heating process ends with five beeps which is handy but may be annoying for some. It comes with a year of limited parts and labor warranty by Farberware that has been in business since 1899 and is a well known brand that customers trust.
