Makita SH02R1 is a brand new, very compact, fast and powerful circular saw that works on 12V Max CXT lithium-ion battery power, for comfortably cutting through melamine, drywall, pegboard, MDF, particleboard, plywood and more. It seems to be an upgrade to the saw model found in the Makita LCT208W Combo kit and has a Makita produced motor that offers 1500rpm rotating speed that enables quicker cutting through different surfaces with its 3-3/8” (85mm) blade that can cut a maximum of an inch deep in a variety of tasks. Cutting depth is adjustable- 5/8 inch max at 45 degree and 1 inch max at 45 degree and it has a tilting base between 0 to 45 degrees for bevel cuts. You will get two 12V Max CXT li-on slide style batteries (and charger) that prove better design, ergonomics and balance than the pod type batteries (and this Makita is not compatible with any of the pod-style batteries and chargers), especially over extended use and they even have LED charge level indicator so you won’t keep wondering how much battery you have left, when you’re working on your task. It weighs just 3.5 pounds with the 12V battery on and has the measurements of 14.5 x 8 x 10.2 inches (12-3/8 inch long)- small size and low weight make it ideal for tight areas and reduces user fatigue.
