T-fal OptiGrill+ XL Stainless Steel Electric Grill
T-fal OptiGrill + XL GC722D53 is the new brushed stainless steel, convenient and versatile, 1800 watt power electric indoor grill that uses precision grilling to deliver the optimal results, the way you want from well done to rare consistently and with a 33% more grilling surface. It has three new cooking programs- seafood, pork, bacon along with other cooking options with preset cycles and temperatures that were available on the regular size OptiGrill + including burgers, poultry, fish, red meat, sandwiches and sausage so you have a total of 9 options that will cook according to the program you select and how thick the ingredients are. You have the M button on the right hand side for manual option along with 4 adjustable temperature settings that lets you also grill all kinds of veggies including potatoes, eggplant, asparagus and tomatoes and whatever personal recipes you may have.
OptiGrill XL has a brushed stainless steel exterior that is nice to look at and is easy to clean, has a modern and sleek design, weighs 11.5 pounds and measures 18.9 x 9 x 14.8 inches so it is a little bigger than the original OptiGrill+ but still won’t take up a lot of your counter space. Plates are non-stick as they are made of die-cast aluminium which will make the release of cooked foods very easy and are the removable type and both the drip tray and plates are safe for being cleaned in dishwasher. User-friendly control panel is right on the handle and has an ergonomic design. You will easily monitor the cooking with a solid purple indicator light for preheating but please keep the lid shut during preheating or the unit will switch to Manual mode, and after light turns solid purple indicating it is preheated, then you can then put the ingredients and shut the lid, and there is also a cooking-level indicator light that goes from yellow to orange as well as alert beeps for well-done, medium and rare.
There is even a “Frozen” button on the left for you to defrost and cook from frozen quickly and efficiently. Precision grilling technology means this unit has integrated sensors that will detect the thickness automatically and will cook it accordingly based on the program you choose. In the box you will find the grill itself, the removable drip tray, user manual and a recipe book in the package to give you ideas on how to cook what ingredients. Plates are a little angled so that you have healthier meals with fats draining into the tray but you still get moist and tender results- crispy on the outside and tender inside. It is offered with a 12 month warranty by T-fal that creates great quality products with innovative and ergonomic design, focusing on global customers’ needs. This is quite a new product so we don’t have much customer feedback online but the reviews for the regular OptiGrill are quite positive with users finding it very easy to use for outstanding results.
