Zinus Deluxe (OLB-PWPBBHE-12K) is a 12-inch size bed with a 37-inch tall wood-paneled headboard, strong wood slat mattress support, and espresso wood frame. It is offered in four different sizes of twin, queen, king and full size.
The Zinus Deluxe bed doesn’t need a box spring foundation but works with one too. And it is fairly easy to put together in under an hour with the clear and easy to understand instructions and everything labeled properly. The solid wood slat support will ensure your mattress lasts longer.
Antique espresso finish will look nice in any type of home decor of any colors. The king size bed has a 5.75-inch pine frame with pine legs that is solid and sturdy enough to support the latex, memory foam or spring mattresses. The center support is made of metal, not wood so you do not need to worry about its durability.
Zinus Deluxe King Bed weighs 75 pounds and measures 81.3 x 75.74 x 37 inches. The weight capacity is around 500 pounds without the mattress for the king size and 250 pounds for the twin. You can put the foam mattresses on it comfortably as the wood slats are close enough to each other with not much spacing.
The smell that you may get from the wood will go away after a while if you air the room every day. The two strips of tape that keep the mattress stay put and in place are included in the box. It could have been better to have the wood slats to be recessed or depth for the bed to stay in instead of having to use tape.
Whichever of the four sizes you choose, this is a decent quality platform bed with a solid construction and nice appearance with a simplistic design. The wood finish is not the perfect smooth or laminated variety but a little exposed with slightly rough bits but the price is low too. Yes, you can find better quality wood beds with the better-looking finishes on the market but you do need to pay much more.
But overall you are certainly getting pretty decent value for money here, whichever size you choose. It will be shipped in a solid packaging of double boxes so the interior is protected very nicely. The price tag is quite reasonable for such a robust and good quality bed with an innovative design by Zinus.
