Bosch Tassimo T55 Plus Coffee Brewer
Bosch Tassimo T55 Plus (TAS5552UC) is a sleek and modern single serve coffee brewer and beverage system, is actually the latest generation of the T line brewers. It is a very functional and practical machine that brews your coffee at the hottest temperature possible of almost all the single serve coffee machines we’ve seen so far. You can adjust the size of your cup with the new T55 and with the brand new brew basket, you will get coffee at the same quality every single time, consistently. In the box you will find the T55 Brewer, the instructions right at the front, a water filter at the back (Mavea Maxtra Water Filtration System with two filters included) and obviously the water tank with a 1.3-liter capacity. There aren’t any free T-Discs but once you register the machine they’ll send you some free T-Discs.
Tassimo T55 looks nice and sleek with shiny chrome and stainless steel finish and a simplistic design, weighs 7.9 pounds and measures 8 x 13.2 x 11 inches. The drip tray can be adjusted easily with the small handle that you can turn left or right so that you can put your smaller or larger cups. It takes a little bit of an effort to remove the round tray but once you do it you can fit in a tall glass or your travel mug easily. The power button is on the left of the tray, brew button for adjusting the size by pressing the – and + signs to make a shorter brew or to add more water in. Small LED display at the top with 3 LED lights and indicators that are quite easy to understand and that tell you when your brew is ready, a light that tells you when it’s time to descale the unit and another light when you need to add water to the reservoir. You can make cappuccino, latte, regular brewed coffee, espresso, hot chocolate, iced coffee and tea with the TDiscs you can purchase. By pressing a single button first it heats up the water almost instantly and you get your cup of coffee very quickly in just a few seconds.
As a smart coffee maker, it uses the intelligent barcode technology with the bar code in the basket that tells the brewer how to brew the T-disc that is placed in the box. The brewing cycle is completely automatic but you can still customize it to make smaller or larger, with more coffee or more water. By using the lever at the front you will lock down the basket to puncture the T-disc and give your T-Discs maximum amount of pressure. The water tank is located at the back and is easily removable, slide it in and out easily, is very large so you don’t have to fill it up all the time. You can find different types of T-discs with two bar codes on top, with different flavors to make a variety of beverages. It is very easy to operate, brewing is very quick and the taste of coffee is really nice about 175 degrees Fahrenheit (hottest of the single cup brewers) and you can hold the brew button to add more water.
