Black Gourmia GSV140 is a high quality “second generation” sous vide pod / immersion circulator with a 1200 watt power “Quiet Run” motor, a sleek and ergonomic design, a convenient blue LED-lit bright digital display that shows the temp in Celcius and Fahrenheit and comes with a handy recipe book by the modernist chef Jason Logsdon, to help you make restaurant quality, tasty and healthy meals consistently at a much lower cost. This is a small and practical, very easy to use alternative to the sous vide pots you may have seen before as you can attach it to the majority of pots with as much as 10 gallons of water. And it will take you just a simple touch of a single button and wait for the great results. You can make steak, chicken, turkey, fish, veggies, seafood eggs and more, by using vacuum sealed bags (so your ingredients do not get soaked) and you will need no cooking experience and you may just want to sear the meat on a cast iron pan after cooking in sous vide pot. It has a modern design, sturdy construction as it is built to last and stays put in a secure stand-up position. Thanks to the accurate and reliable “Active Control Thermostat” temperatures can be set within +/- 0.01 degree.

It will circulate hot water in the pot at a rate of 2.1 gallons per minute- GPM for perfect results and accuracy and the maximum time you can set it to is 59 hours and 59 minutes if you’ll need to have it on for that long for any meal. Gourmia GSV140 weighs just 2.3 pounds and measures 18.3 x 7.5 x 4.6 inches- so it is quite compact with a small footprint and lightweight and the clamp has a surface of 2 inches, the top is 0.75 and the top is 1.25 inches and you can choose black, silver or white. It is very easy to set up and operate (you may need to read the instructions provided, the timer is quite accurate to keep track of your cooking time, runs very quietly (almost silent but not totally silent) and at the current price level, it seems like a pretty good deal. You will find two buttons on the control panel and each of them will perform a few tasks, which may be both a good and bad thing depending on your needs but it could be better to have dedicated buttons and the two buttons are a bit sensitive to touch. You also don’t have the remote control from smartphone feature that you may have seen on some sous vide units but this is often not necessary and a case of paying for something you won’t use. Gourmia is a company that offers great quality, innovative products with a sturdy build and beautiful design at very affordable prices and we’ve reviewed a few of their small appliances so far and the customer reviews online are mostly positive. It is offered with a year warranty by the manufacturer- Gourmia.
